Esprit Padel Shop focuses on second hand

The padel market continues to be structured in France. After having supported the growth of the discipline through its specialized distribution activity, Esprit Padel Shop is taking a new step with the launch of a second-hand service dedicated to padel equipment. Announced on June 1, 2026, this new offer allows players to sell and buy used rackets, shoes and accessories within a platform integrated into the company’s ecosystem.

In a few years, the company founded near Lyon by Joffrey Gilant and Sébastien Cornet has established itself as the benchmark for online commerce in the world of padel in France. With more than 10,000 references available, several hundred thousand orders shipped since its creation and a turnover of 13 million euros achieved in 2025, the company now has a critical size allowing it to expand its scope of activity.

A response to new consumption habits

The launch of “Esprit Padel Shop Occasion” comes in a context favorable to the circular economy. For several years, sports stakeholders have observed a rise in second-hand purchases, driven by economic but also environmental considerations. The phenomenon is now affecting increasingly technical product categories, including racket sports.

For padel, this development is of particular interest. The discipline attracts new practitioners every year who must equip themselves without necessarily wanting to immediately invest in new high-end equipment. The possibility of accessing snowshoes or equipment at reduced prices thus constitutes an additional lever to democratize the practice.

The platform developed by Esprit Padel Shop also intends to respond to one of the main limitations of the second-hand market: trust. The products offered for sale are classified according to six levels of condition, ranging from new with label to material deemed satisfactory. The objective is to reassure buyers while providing more transparency on the quality of the equipment offered. Sellers, for their part, receive a voucher corresponding to the value of their sale, thus creating a consumption loop within the brand’s ecosystem.

A new brick in the development strategy

Beyond the environmental dimension, this diversification is part of a broader economic logic. As the padel market matures, the expectations of practitioners become more complex. Consumers are looking for more services, guarantees and support throughout the life cycle of their equipment.

For Esprit Padel Shop, the second hand represents a way to extend the customer relationship well beyond the first purchase. A player who resells a racket to finance a more recent model remains in the brand’s ecosystem and continues to fuel its commercial activity.

This strategy is based on solid fundamentals. Based in Meyzieu, in eastern Lyon, the company operates a 3,400 m² warehouse and boasts more than 250,000 orders shipped since its creation. An infrastructure which now allows it to develop complementary services around sports equipment.

While the padel market continues to grow in France, Esprit Padel Shop is positioning itself in the second-hand niche. An approach that is still rare in the discipline, which allows the company to respond to the new expectations of practitioners while strengthening its role in structuring the market.

PakarPBN

A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.

In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.

The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
