Features of PrestaShop AI Product Recommendations
- Automatically recommends a list of relevant products using artificial intelligence.
- Display AI-recommended products in a block on product details and cart pages.
- Configure the number of suggested products to display in the AI recommended products block.
- Set the distance value for the accuracy of the suggestions. Synchronize all product data or specific products with the Chroma database as needed.
- Set the title of the custom AI recommended products block.
Minimum system requirements (API configuration)
The following minimum system requirements are required for this module.
- RAM (12 GB)
- Space (20 GB)
- Server key and certificate files (for Flask API)
- Docker
- Three ports (5000, 5001 and 8000)
- API Key (if you want to use Gemini, OpenAI, etc. hosted platforms to build integrations) – Optional
How to install PrestaShop AI product recommendations
- First of all, go to the module manager in the back office and click on “upload a module”.
- After that, drag and drop the module file or select the file in the system.
- This way the installation of the module will be successful.
Setting up AI product recommendations
General settings
ChromaDB endpoint – The administrator must enter the ChromaDB endpoint Endpoint.ChromaDB.
LLM server endpoint – Enter the LLM server endpoint.
API key – Here the admin enters the API key. This key is used to create integrations.
- ChromaDB was used here as the vector database.
- A server is required to retrieve product recommendations from the website. So we need to install it on your server. Please contact us for installation.
Once registered, the administrator will have the option to delete ChromaDB collections.
AI Settings
Under AI Settings, the administrator can:
- Enable automatic product integration on the ChromaDB server when products are added or updated from the catalog.
- Choose to display the AI recommended products block on product details and cart pages.
- Set the title of the AI recommended products block.
- Configure the number of products to display in the AI recommended products block.
- Set the distance value. A lower distance value provides very relevant recommendations and a higher distance provides less relevant recommendations.
Synchronize data
Select the action to integrate
The administrator can choose to sync all product data or specific data with the Chroma database.
To embed a specific product, search for the product in the “Select Products” field.
Click the “Start adding integrations” button to integrate the product.

Once successfully configured, the module will display recommended products based on the AI suggested product in the AI Recommended Products block.
