2030: the Abitbol-Montaggioni duo put to the test of reality

Four years before the Games, the COJOP Alpes Françaises 2030 seeks to provide guarantees of balance and listening. By entrusting the co-chairmanship of the Athletes’ Commission to Sarah Abitbol and Maxime Montaggioni, the organization intends to illustrate its commitment to shared governance between Olympic and Paralympic, snow and ice, women and men.

But beyond the image, the question remains: to what extent will athletes really weigh in the decisions that will count?

Governance that wants to place athletes at the center… on paper

The 22 members of the Commission debated in Décines the overall vision of the project and drew the first lessons from the Milano-Cortina 2026 Games. These discussions – in which representatives of the IOC and IPC athletes’ commissions also participated – reflect a sincere desire for dialogue.

However, the major decisions around sites, budgets or logistics remain the prerogative of COJOP. And that the athletes’ room for maneuver, often confined to consultation, is not always enough to transform this participation into true co-decision making.

The 2030 Games put to the test of reality

The ambition of these Games “closer to the territories” promises to be all the more scrutinized as it is deployed in a context of strong environmental and budgetary sensitivity. After the phase of promises, comes that of proof: capacity to limit the carbon footprint, pooling of infrastructures, and articulation between two events – Olympic and Paralympic – on the same territory.

The appointment of Sarah Abitbol and Maxime Montaggioni nevertheless embodies a positive dimension of the project: that of a legitimate, credible and balanced tandem. The former skater, engaged for several years on questions of ethics and protection of athletes, and the Paralympic snowboarder, with his field experience, embody a word of experience.

But their mission will not be easy. In a context where the Games are still debated – on their cost, their relevance or their environmental impact – making the voice of athletes heard beyond the symbolic will require real power of influence.

Edgar Grospiron, president of COJOP, recognizes this himself: “We are moving forward with the athletes, but the challenges are immense. » Between sporting ambition and economic constraints, the French Alps 2030 will have to convince that their governance model is not limited to beautiful slogans.

PakarPBN

A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.

In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.

The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
